HALBERDIER Real Estate and The H Real Estate a HALBERDIER Holdings Company is a strong supporter of The Woodlands, South Montgomery and North Harris Communities and stands behind the Bruce Tough for State Rep District 15 Campaign.  Please learn more about Bruce Tough below and see some of the issues he is tackling.  Bruce Tough is a remarkable leader, visionary, mentor, client and friend.  Please vote for Bruce!   snippet below from Bruce Tough website on issues at hand…

  • Public Safety – Law enforcement, fire protection and emergency ambulance services are always top priorities for residents and business in our District.
  • Transportation and Mobility – This vital issue is one of the primary reasons why I entered this race.  As our region continues to grow and prosper, and more and more visitors from literally around the world enjoy our community; transportation, mobility, and parking issues will become increasingly critical.
  • Water – As Texas residents are increasingly aware, water is one of the top issues that face our state.  Periodic drought conditions, depletion of both surface and underground water sources, our outlook for continuing population growth with the resulting increase in water demands, and the lack of effective conservation programs all serve to define this issue.
  • Education – The high-quality education systems that we have in District 15 are vital to the continuing success of our area.
  • Economic Development – Even during difficult economic periods, our region has continued to prosper.  We have added jobs, new businesses continue to move here, homes continue to sell, new homes are being built and sold, new retail outlets continue to open, world-class dining establishments are being added, and much more.
  • Fiscal Responsibility – I have always been committed to controlled spending, limited government, complete transparency, and that taxes should be kept as low as possible while still providing the high level of services our residents and businesses expect.
  • Quality of Life – Our region is based on the principle of making this a great place to live, work, and play.
  • Illegal Immigration – Sadly, the federal government has continually failed at its responsibility to secure our borders.  Our immigration system is fundamentally flawed, in part because the laws against illegal immigration often go unenforced.
  • Right to Life – I am a pro-life conservative and as an officer of the court will defend our state laws protecting the lives of the unborn.
  • Governance – Because of The Woodlands Township (about half of District 15 population) agreement with the cities of Houston and Conroe (which I was honored to help craft and finalize) that prevents annexation for another forty plus years,
  • Gun Control - I am a strong believer in the right to bear arms as protected by the 2nd amendment.

The Barnabas Group-Houston (TBG) is expanding to The Woodlands!
How much more do you want to do for the Kingdom of God?
How interested are you in joining with other community leaders in a collaboration to advance the
Gospel and expedite the return of Christ?
What legacy of significance do you want to leave for the next generation?
Join Our Founding Member’s Inquiry Meeting:

God has been using TBG to make a powerful impact on ministries around the corner and
around the globe. But in contrast to many great individuals and organizations who support
ministries primarily with the checkbook, TBG realizes Kingdom-minded people could provide so
much more if given an opportunity to use their network, time, unique abilities, giftings AND
resources to help ministries that reflect their true passions.
TBG has impacted over 40 ministries through our Houston-based breakfasts, SWOT meetings
and vetting process. We believe that there is so much more to do and leverage is the key to
making it happen.
We use the experience learned, strong vetting process and administration base that we will
already employ to expand to another area with minimum additional costs of time and money. As
we launch into The Woodlands, we are looking for 6-9 more Founding Members to start this
chapter. TBG-Woodlands Founding Members are people who are willing to make a 2-year
membership commitment to TBG-Woodlands and recruit 10 people to the breakfast in
September. The goal is to have 3 of them becoming members of TBG-Woodlands.
Please join us as we advance the Gospel and His Kingdom as we join together as the Body in
The Woodlands! RSVP If you have any questions, please contact Becky Turner
( or 713-824-5649), TBG’s Managing Partner.

Have a great day!

For the Kingdom,

2013 Economic Outlook Conference

Business leaders think differently.  They take the open shot, but they always work the long game.  That’s what The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s 27th Annual Economic Outlook Conference is designed for—spotlighting key economic trends that will shape our community, the nation and the globe.

Explosive growth in The Woodlands area–and the industries important to it–has generated debate over the growth’s sustainability…..and if it is sustainable, where are the key markets?  For how long?

All for this goal, the Economic Outlook Conference brings together nationally-recognized speakers, roughly 500 business and community leaders, and corporate sponsors.  The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce has produced the event annually since 1987.

The 27th Annual Economic Outlook Conference is slated for:

Friday, March 8, 2013 8:00 a.m. – 1: 30 p.m. The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center 1601 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380

 Crawfish Fest

The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival was created to raise awareness for Pulmonary Hypertension, hence the “PH” in the name, and money to find a cure.  The festival is hosted annually in Town Green Park for a day of family fun with live music, kids activities, authentic Louisiana crawfish, BBQ (for those that do not care for crawfish), networking and more.  While we have continued to grow over the last few years, our one day festival brings in more than 3,000 people from all part of the country.  In the past, people have traveled from Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maryland, Tennessee and numerous other states to attend the CrawPHish Festival.  We look forward to growing the Festival in the years to come and raising money for such a worthy cause.
